Brandywine Communications Founder to Retire, Company Strengthens Leadership Team for Future Growth

Tustin, CA, December 22, 2020Brandywine Communications, a leading manufacturer of time and frequency systems for the military and infrastructure markets, announced today that after a successful 25-year career, founder and former Chief Executive Officer Gary Smith will officially retire December 31, 2020. Dean Douglas, Chairman of Brandywine’s parent company, Denali Communications Group, will serve as the President and CEO.

The new additions to the Brandywine team, Jorge Sanguinetti (VP Engineering) and Frank Rosado (Director of Program Management), bring a breadth of industry experience with exceptional performance histories in the time and frequency, industrial manufacturing, and aerospace engineering fields.

Jorge Sanguinetti is a veteran of the aerospace and defense segments, bringing 36 years of experience in electronics design, systems integration, and engineering management. His professional tenures included the WinSoft Corporation, Crane Aerospace & Electronics, and Esterline Control Systems. His work history includes leading multiple teams that created breakthrough products in the arenas of warfighter support, fleet communications, weapons systems, commercial and military avionics. He holds an MSEE and is very passionate about technology.

Frank Rosado brings tremendous depth and experience to Brandywine Communications and the executive management team. He brings a vast amount of process expertise in commercial and military program management within the aerospace sector. He has a deep and varied technical background, most recently as a Director with Esterline Technologies Corporation, in highly engineered components, products and systems for the global A&D segment. In line with this new role Frank will additionally oversee our quality and process improvement Initiatives.
